Role & responsibilities:
– Good understanding of electrical concepts like three phase power calculations.
– Good understanding of complex power calculation and estimation.
– Design and review of electrical distribution systems for industrial, residential and commercial building applications
– Preparation/ checking of single line diagram with protection and metering requirement.
– Preparation/ checking of detailed calculation for major electrical equipment like transformer, DGs, Capacitor bank, UPS, Battery & Battery charger, Neutral Grounding resistor, etc.
– Preparation/ checking of detailed design calculation for earthing, lighting, cable sizing, cable tray/ trench sizing, lightning Protection, etc.
– Preparation/ checking electrical Load list, cable schedule.
– Preparation/ checking of Electrical Layouts like earthing, lighting, cable tray/ trench, Fire alarm system, telephone system, public address system, etc.
– Understanding/ checking of substation automation system.
– Vendor document review (Electrical equipment).
– Understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation
– Contributes design modification to uphold design quality.
– Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems are designed meeting internal standards and other relevant IS/IEC standards.
