About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sensor Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced sensor technologies for our cement product lines, airport baggage handling systems, and material handling processes. This role requires deep expertise in sensor design, data acquisition, signal processing, and algorithm development, with a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency and product quality through innovative sensor applications.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • PhD is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sensor design, development, and implementation.
  • Proven experience in the cement industry, airport operations, or material handling systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management (PMO) experience, with exposure to cross-functional and international projects preferred.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Sensor Technologies

  • Strong knowledge of temperature, pressure, proximity, optical, and inertial sensors.
  • Expertise in MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) and NEMS (Nano-Electro-Mechanical Systems).
  • Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design for sensor signal conditioning.

Programming & Software

  • Skilled in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW.
  • Experience with embedded systems programming and RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).

Data Acquisition & Signal Processing

  • Expertise in designing data acquisition systems.
  • Strong knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and tools like MATLAB/Simulink.

Communication Protocols

  • Hands-on experience with protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
