Role Overview

This role is responsible for strengthening Cambridge University Press & Assessment’s brand visibility, thought leadership, and product integrity across South Asia. The Senior Brand & Corporate Communications Manager will build strategic relationships with key media outlets, bloggers, opinion leaders, and influencers to enhance product awareness and protect brand credibility. The position demands a strategic thinker and hands-on communicator who can balance high-level storytelling with tactical execution—driving media engagement, social media visibility, and thought leadership initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Brand & PR Leadership

  • Translate business and brand objectives into impactful PR, social media, and influencer programs that amplify Cambridge’s voice in South Asia.
  • Develop and execute integrated brand communication strategies that position Cambridge as a leader in education and assessment.
  • Build frameworks and scorecards to monitor brand impact and optimize communications performance.

Media & Influencer Engagement

  • Lead media outreach efforts, handle inbound queries, and maintain strong relationships with print, digital, and broadcast media.
  • Create and pitch compelling storylines, press releases, and opinion articles to enhance visibility.
  • Develop communication strategies targeting education influencers, policymakers, and school leadership communities.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Produce and manage press releases, op-eds, thought leadership blogs, presentations, and social-first storytelling.
  • Craft narratives that reinforce Cambridge’s position as a thought leader in education and assessment.
  • Drive internal communication initiatives that highlight public relations achievements and updates.

Analytics & Market Insights

  • Manage PR and social media analytics tools to track performance, derive insights, and enhance communication effectiveness.
  • Conduct social listening to identify emerging trends and integrate findings into brand strategy.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 15–20 years of proven experience in Public Relations and Communications, preferably managing PR for leading brands or within top PR agencies.
  • Strong media relations network across traditional and digital channels.
  • Demonstrated experience with global PR campaigns and multi-market communications strategies.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Expertise in strategic communication planning, campaign management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and digital media tools.
  • Experience managing paid and earned media initiatives for maximum impact.
