 About the Role

OptM is seeking an experienced Wi-Fi Developer to design and develop high-performance network and wireless solutions on cutting-edge SoC and embedded platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Wi-Fi driver integration and development, deep Linux kernel expertise, and a strong understanding of 802.11 standards and wireless communication systems. You will be part of a skilled engineering team that delivers robust, scalable, and optimized Wi-Fi solutions for next-generation products.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test Wi-Fi drivers and integrations for embedded systems and OpenWRT-based platforms.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance network and wireless solutions across multiple SoCs.
  • Work extensively with Linux kernel, drivers, and system components in C/C++.
  • Integrate and validate wireless chipsets (BCM, MTK, QCA, Marvell, etc.) for production systems.
  • Implement and test Easymesh and 802.11 protocol features.
  • Debug and resolve performance, stability, and compatibility issues across layers.
  • Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Contribute to improving software quality, scalability, and performance across Wi-Fi stacks.

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi driver development and integration.
  • Proficiency in C / C++ programming and Linux kernel / driver development.
  • Deep understanding of 802.11 standards and Easymesh specifications.
  • Experience working with OpenWRT framework and architecture.
  • Exposure to MIPS and ARM processor architectures.
  • Experience with wireless chipsets such as Broadcom (BCM), MediaTek (MTK), Qualcomm Atheros (QCA), and Marvell.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
