Job Description
Quality Manager
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (On-site)
Job Summary
The Quality Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes across production, engineering, and supply chain. This role ensures strict compliance with industry standards, drives operational excellence, strengthens customer satisfaction, and builds a culture of quality within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Define and deploy the quality vision, strategy, and long-term objectives aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across production, engineering, and supply chain.
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Oversee, maintain, and continually improve the QMS framework.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (RoHS, REACH, CE, UL, etc.).
Product & Process Quality
- Drive improvements in key quality metrics such as FPY, PPM, COPQ.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
Supplier & Customer Quality
- Strengthen supplier quality through development programs and incoming quality protocols.
- Address customer feedback, manage escalations, and participate in customer audits.
- Serve as the primary interface for customer quality concerns and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are
An experienced quality leader with strong manufacturing expertise, capable of driving compliance, influencing cross-functional teams, and elevating quality as a strategic business advantage.
- Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in quality leadership roles within manufacturing.
- Experience with valves, coils, or related components preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Six Sigma, GD&T.
- Proven expertise with ISO standards, customer audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Experience with ERP and digital quality systems.
- Ability to influence across teams and drive organization-wide change.
