Job Overview
Our client is looking for a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage end-to-end SAP landscape administration and ensure maximum performance, availability, and security of SAP systems across development, QA, and production environments. The ideal professional must be technically strong, proactive, and capable of handling mission-critical SAP operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute complete SAP Basis administration including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Perform SAP upgrades, migrations, kernel upgrades, support packs, and EHP updates.
- Manage SAP HANA Database administration including backup/recovery, performance optimization, and replication.
- Handle transport management, user/security administration, and system performance tuning.
- Monitor SAP system health, identify risks, and ensure high system uptime.
- Collaborate with functional, development, and infra teams for continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ITSM processes — Incident, Change & Problem Management.
- Provide on-call support for business-critical situations.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis.
- Expertise working with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, and Fiori.
- Strong knowledge of HANA DB, Linux/Unix OS, and preferably AWS / Azure cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
