Team Lead – Selene Finance

Location: Bengaluru (Full-Time)

Role Overview

The Team Lead will oversee a team within the Mortgage Servicing function, driving operational excellence, compliance, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role requires strong knowledge of US mortgage servicing, team management experience, and the ability to handle escalations, audits, and investor expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Measure and document staff performance, track attendance, and deliver monthly & annual performance reviews.
  • Handle and resolve escalated calls, complaints, and complex servicing issues.
  • Provide coaching on quality assurance and create remediation plans for performance gaps.
  • Lead new hire training and ongoing training initiatives for associates.
  • Support the manager in planning daily team activities and ensuring full engagement throughout the day.
  • Participate in presentations for investors, rating agencies, auditors, or business partners.
  • Clearly communicate operational goals, changes, and strategy to team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in investor presentations and support interactions with rating agencies and other business stakeholders.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalations from internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain strict adherence to governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through early detection, issue tracking, and corrective action.
  • Support audit requests, respond to compliance reviews, and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, training, work allocation, performance appraisal, and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and service-level compliance.

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

Relevant Experience

  • 3–5 years of team leadership experience in US mortgage servicing.
  • Hands-on experience in handling escalations, audits, investor interactions, and staff training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with US mortgage servicing platforms preferred:
  • MSP / Black Knight / LPS
  • Fiserv / Fidelity
