PHP Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with strong expertise in backend development, RESTful APIs, and full-stack integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications while collaborating closely with front-end developers, project managers, and cross-functional teams. This role requires hands-on experience with PHP frameworks, MySQL, and modern web technologies, and a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter frameworks.
  • Build RESTful APIs to send and receive data in JSON format, enabling seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements efficiently.
  • Ensure cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility for web applications.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from conceptualization, design, development, testing, deployment, to post-launch support.
  • Solve complex performance issues, architectural challenges, and optimize backend workflows.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code while adhering to standard development tools and processes.
  • Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a unified system and manage user authentication/authorization across systems.
  • Work with APIs such as Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other third-party services as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API development, JSON, and web service integration.
  • Understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and software design patterns.
  • Knowledge of Angular JS / React JS / Node JS is a plus.
  • Experience in e-commerce development preferred.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, optimize performance, and implement secure coding practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
