Why You Would Love This Job:
As part of the IT CSS WRAFT delivery team, you will support core Clearing & Settlement applications for DTC, NSCC, FICC, and solutions across Wealth Management & Insurance Services, along with Master Reference Data systems. You will work within an Agile squad, partner with the Product Owner (PO), and contribute to planning, high-level design, development, and best-practice implementation across applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert for one or more DTCC applications
- Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure alignment with functional requirements
- Work with Infrastructure teams to deploy optimal hosting environments
- Tune and optimize application performance
- Research and evaluate solutions aligned with DTCC technology standards
- Integrate risk and control processes into everyday responsibilities
- Apply suitable software development methodologies based on project needs
- Contribute to component design, development, and functional testing
- Support development, testing, fixes, and production activity
- Develop applications and create unit test cases meeting functional/non-functional requirements
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Technical Skills Required:
- Expertise in designing and developing Mainframe Online & Batch applications
- Strong hands-on programming with COBOL, CICS, DB2
- Knowledge of MQ and DB2 Connect for integration with distributed systems
- Experience with JCL, catalog procedures, and file types (PS/PDS/VSAM)
- Ability to manage and maintain batch schedules using CA-Scheduler
- Proficiency with Mainframe IDEs such as IDZ
- Experience with version control/configuration tools like Changeman
- Strong skills in reverse-engineering legacy applications involving DB2 and CICS
- Nice to have: CI/CD processes for Mainframe environments
