Python Architect

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Python Architect to lead the design and development of scalable backend platforms and distributed systems. This role requires strong architectural ownership, deep technical expertise in Python, and hands-on leadership in building high-performance, cloud-ready applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of Python-based backend platforms and distributed systems.
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Design, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
- Drive microservices architecture and system scalability initiatives.
- Lead containerization strategy using Docker across environments.
- Support CI/CD automation through scripting and deployment practices.
- Collaborate closely with on-site engineering, product, DevOps, and operations teams.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning exercises.
- Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers.
- Contribute to long-term technical roadmap and platform evolution.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Python
- Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI
- REST API design and architecture
- Docker containerization
- Ansible or Shell scripting
- Microservices-based architecture
- Distributed systems fundamentals
- System performance tuning and optimization
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes
- Cloud-native architecture exposure
- Asynchronous programming in Python
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Messaging and queuing technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams)
- CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Experience & Qualifications
- 10–12 years of overall software engineering experience
- Proven experience in architectural ownership and technical leadership
- Strong problem-solving, design, and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with on-site teams and drive execution
