Job Description

The Assistant Manager Engineering supports the efficient operation of all hotel engineering systems by leading maintenance teams, ensuring equipment reliability, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining Hilton’s safety, quality, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and organize daily engineering operations and team activities.
  • Handle emergency situations and resolve equipment and system breakdowns promptly.
  • Ensure team members receive proper technical training, supervision, and performance assessments.
  • Enforce hotel engineering policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Control wastage, promote energy conservation, and manage material utilization efficiently.
  • Organize routine and preventive maintenance to meet Hilton quality standards.
  • Support Duty Engineer in workforce planning, motivation, and team engagement.
  • Ensure all hotel systems (electrical, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, mechanical) operate safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain records of systems, equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Monitor contractors and renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with management, staff, and relevant authorities when required.
  • Report irregularities and operational risks to senior management.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in hotel engineering or facilities management.
  • Technical education in Electrical / Mechanical / HVAC or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, air-conditioning, boilers, machinery, and pipelines.
  • Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive service mindset.
