We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Data Analyst who thrives in dynamic environments, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and is passionate about delivering excellence through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Understanding:
Translate business challenges into data solutions by aligning with Microsoft’s broader strategic goals. Mentor others and engage stakeholders effectively to define data requirements and drive impact. - Data Expertise:
Source and evaluate internal and external data, resolve data quality issues, and collaborate with engineers to build governed, secure, and scalable data pipelines. - Advanced Data Analysis:
Lead sophisticated analyses, integrate diverse datasets, and ensure data accuracy to produce meaningful, actionable insights. Provide critical feedback on analytical tools and methodologies. - Data Visualization & Reporting:
Develop and guide impactful dashboards and reports tailored for senior stakeholders to support informed business decision-making. - Strategic Evaluation:
Design and execute assessments of key business decisions, considering risk, business impact, and cross-initiative learnings. - Cross-Team Collaboration:
Foster strong partnerships across business, engineering, and analytics teams to standardize best practices and ensure data reliability. - Innovation & Efficiency:
Champion automation, standardization, and the use of AI/ML technologies in analytics. Drive continuous improvement in how data is collected, interpreted, and applied.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
AND 6+ years experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial analytics - Master’s degree AND 4+ years experienc
- Equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree AND 12+ years experience
- Master’s degree AND 8+ years experience
- Equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated expertise in tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar
- Experience in automation and low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and storytelling with data skills
Work Expectations:
- Must work 50% of the time in the Bangalore office
- Must be available to work 50% of the time in Pacific Standard Time (PST)
