About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Databricks Developer to join their growing analytics and data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, hands-on expertise with Databricks, and practical experience across databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions and ETL pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks to integrate data from various structured and unstructured sources.
- Work with multiple databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Implement robust data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes to ensure high data quality and integrity.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Leverage AWS services such as Glue and Redshift for data processing, storage, and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
- Participate in Agile and DevOps practices using tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize solutions for better performance and maintainability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering and development.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (mandatory).
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data transformation.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Exposure to AWS Glue, Redshift, and other AWS cloud services (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
