Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Design Engineer with a background in electrical engineering and solar energy systems to join our Bangalore-based team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design, simulation, and planning of solar PV projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare preliminary system designs and Bills of Materials (BoMs) for solar PV installations.
- Use tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst for detailed solar system design and energy estimation.
Create and manage detailed construction packages, including:
- Electrical design drawings
- Mechanical layout
- String configuration plans
- “As-Made” and “As-Built” documents
- Provide technical support to Project Managers and address design-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with electrical design standards and SolarEdge product specifications.
- Maintain and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of experience in solar system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD – Mandatory
- Strong working knowledge of SketchUp, PVsyst – Mandatory
- Familiarity with solar PV modules, solar inverters, and their specifications – Advantage
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and project documentation tools
- CRM experience is a plus
- Quick learner with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and under remote supervision
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
