About the Role

At Group Trucks Technology, you’ll play a vital role in transforming not just our company, but the entire transport industry. As an Experienced Android Software Developer, you’ll work on next-generation vehicle infotainment systems, developing innovative, high-quality Android applications that enhance the driver experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-house Android software and apps for vehicle infotainment systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks within the Scrum team, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure code robustness, usability, and reliability.
  • Participate in concept evaluations and technical investigations.
  • Follow clean coding standards and best engineering practices.
  • Contribute to innovation and advanced engineering initiatives.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Android Studio, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Sound understanding of software architecture, UI/UX principles, and RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with automotive infotainment systems or embedded Android development.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CAN, LIN, or Ethernet protocols.
  • Exposure to functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Contribution to open-source Android projects or community involvement.
