About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Modeller to develop comprehensive, dynamic financial models that drive key business and investment decisions. The role involves analyzing financial data, forecasting performance under various scenarios, and supporting strategic initiatives with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Model Development

  • Build robust financial models from scratch, tailored to project and organizational needs.
  • Incorporate CAPEX, OPEX, energy production forecasts, tariff structures, and financing parameters.

Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis

  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess risk and financial impact.
  • Model various financing structures including debt-equity ratios, interest rates, and repayment schedules.

Feasibility Studies & Investment Analysis

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to prepare project feasibility reports.
  • Evaluate project returns using IRR, NPV, and payback period metrics.

Market Research & Benchmarking

  • Monitor power sector regulations, energy pricing trends, and policy changes.
  • Benchmark model assumptions with industry standards and explore diversification opportunities.

Reporting & Presentation

  • Prepare and present detailed financial analyses and reports to management and investors.
  • Communicate findings effectively through data-driven presentations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: MBA / CA / CFA
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in financial modeling, preferably in the power or energy sector
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and financial modeling tools
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of power sector regulations, energy tariffs, and project lifecycles

Industry Preference: Power / Energy (open to non-energy sector as well)

Core Focus: Financial Modeling, Feasibility Analysis, Scenario Planning, Reporting
