Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary IT Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of automation strategies across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint environments. This role demands a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable automation frameworks, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation in IT automation using PowerShell, RPA, and modern orchestration tools. The Automation Architect will collaborate closely with internal IT and Consulting teams to identify automation opportunities and implement best practices that deliver measurable business value.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end IT automation solutions across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint environments.
• Design scalable, modular automation workflows using PowerShell, RPA, and tools such as Kaseya, Rewst, and ImmyBot.
• Collaborate with IT and Consulting teams to identify, prioritize, and execute automation opportunities.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates and deployment scripts for repeatable, standardized provisioning.
• Integrate automation across systems including backup, patching, monitoring, and security enforcement.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation tools and frameworks for enterprise-wide adoption.
• Ensure automation aligns with IT governance, compliance, and security standards.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and pilot automation projects.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and architecture diagrams for all automation workflows.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with a specialization in automation.
• Proven track record in enterprise-scale automation design and implementation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and client environments.
• Self-driven, analytical, and capable of managing projects from architecture to deployment.

Required Skill Set

• Deep technical expertise in IT infrastructure, server and endpoint management, networking, and systems administration.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting for infrastructure and process automation.
• Experience with RPA tools and orchestration platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, and device management tools.
• Proficient with backup platforms (Veeam, Datto, Barracuda, Acronis, MSP360, Cove, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Azure/AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
• Working knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices.
• Experience with PSA and ticketing tools like HaloPSA, ConnectWise, or Autotask.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end, from architecture to production support.

Beneficial Skills (Preferred)

• Prior experience working in an MSP environment.
• Familiarity with AI-based automation tools like Microtica, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Dynatrace.
• Exposure to Automation & RMM tools such as:
• ConnectWise RMM / Automate
• NinjaOne, Intune
• ImmyBot, Rewst, HaloPSA
