Jira Administrator / Integration Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator / Integration Specialist to manage and enhance our Atlassian ecosystem with a strong focus on integrations across Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Xray. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing workflows, ensuring seamless integration across development and QA environments, and driving automation to improve overall toolchain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and dashboards.
- Integrate Jira with Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Xray to enhance traceability, CI/CD visibility, and test management.
- Develop and maintain automations using Jira Automation and scripting tools.
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize Jira performance and integrations across environments.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve productivity.
- Ensure security, compliance, and role-based access controls across integrated tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator.
- Proven hands-on experience integrating Jira with Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Xray.
- Strong command of JQL, REST APIs, and scripting languages such as Groovy or Python.
- Sound understanding of Agile, DevOps, and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience in automation, reporting, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Atlassian Certifications (e.g., ACP-120, ACP-610) are an added advantage.
Integration Focus Areas
1. Jira ↔ Bitbucket
- Link commits, branches, and pull requests to Jira issues.
- Enable automatic issue updates based on Bitbucket activity.
2. Jira ↔ Jenkins
- Trigger Jenkins builds directly from Jira.
- Display build and deployment results within Jira issues.
3. Jira ↔ Xray
- Sync test cases, executions, and results with Jira issues.
- Maintain full traceability from requirements to test coverage and defects.
4. Automation & Reporting
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with traceability to Jira.
- Build real-time dashboards for development, testing, and release monitoring.
5. Security & Access Control
- Enforce role-based access across all integrated systems.
- Maintain audit trails for compliance and governance.
