As a leading manufacturer of large custom designed control valves, our dynamic and high-tech production facility in Marshalltown, Iowa, awaits your expertise. The Pressure Testing Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and assisting hydrostatic tests for production orders
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design hydrostatic pressure testing equipment to support assembly & operations
- Develop complex tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauging, and facilities equipment using 3D CAD software, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Conduct calculations and simulations to determine appropriate test pressures and methodologies.
- Develop and implement testing procedures, including pressure limits, test durations, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations (e.g., ASME, API), and company policies.
- Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to mitigate potential testing-related accidents and ensure safety of operators
- Investigate and solve testing issues to find root cause using a structured methodology and implement solutions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of materials, system design, and testing techniques to improve testing accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the training of personnel on hydrostatic testing procedures and safety measures.
- Provide technical support regarding testing methods and results.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- BS Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar in a manufacturing related field
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, and SharePoint
- Strong CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks
- Verbal and written technical communication skills
- Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and details
- Basic Statics and Strengths of Materials Knowledge
- Basic understanding of pressure vessels and hydrostatic testing
- Shown experience (2 yrs) in engineering
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Co-op, internship, or professional experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge and application of functional gauging and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process capabilities.
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills preferred.
- Problem solving skills with structured methods.
- Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
