Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments on a regular basis.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff, ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications
Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience

5–8 years of professional experience in network engineering and security.
Certifications (Preferred/Additional)

Industry-recognized network and security certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Aruba, Fortinet).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, CheckPoint, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMK, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, etc.) and wireless networking & security.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Firm understanding of industry cabling standards and methods.
