Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PLM Configurator Expert to lead and enhance product configuration capabilities for complex manufacturing environments. The role involves maintaining and optimizing Configure One systems, integrating with PLM platforms (Windchill, Teamcenter, ARAS) and ERP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP), and supporting accurate product structures and variant logic.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize Configure One product configurator systems to ensure accurate product structures, rules, and variant logic.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to deliver robust configuration solutions.
- Ensure seamless data flow between configurator, PLM systems, and ERP systems.
- Translate complex engineering requirements into configurable logic and rules for BOMs and product structures.
- Serve as an expert for product configuration architecture, governance, and variant management.
- Support the Digital Thread by maintaining configurator systems aligned with business and engineering processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in engineering configuration management or solution architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PLM configurators: Windchill Options & Variants, Teamcenter, ARAS.
- Direct experience with Configure One implementation and support.
- Exposure to variant management and complex product structures.
- Strong background in PLM-ERP integration (JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes; industrial manufacturing or automotive experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Configure One and PLM configurators.
- Familiarity with engineering BOMs, variant logic, and configuration governance.
- Ability to lead configuration architecture and drive process improvements.
