Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team of engineers focused on developing and maintaining critical components across Xbox platforms and services.
  • Drive technical strategy, architecture, and design across multiple complex systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, product managers, and global stakeholders to deliver world-class gaming experiences.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead from the front—coach, mentor, and inspire engineers at all levels while ensuring timely delivery against high-quality standards.
  • Oversee DevOps practices to maintain and scale live services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field AND 10+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience (in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar)
  • 4+ years of proven people management experience
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
  • Solid experience with DevOps practices and managing live applications or frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to software design
  • Experience building highly scalable and highly reliable services
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and iterative development cycles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical partners
  • Strong communication skills—able to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work across geographies and diverse cultures
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to manage tight deadlines and stakeholder expectations
  • Organized, self-driven, and results-oriented
