About the Role

This role involves working within a global consulting environment, designing and delivering SAP BTP full-stack solutions. The consultant will collaborate with architects, business analysts, and development teams to build cloud-native applications using SAP technologies. The position requires strong technical leadership, cloud expertise, and hands-on development experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of solution or infrastructure development for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP BTP-based applications ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Translate user requirements into technical design specifications and review team deliverables.
  • Drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) and make informed architectural decisions.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure successful product and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to plan, develop, test, and maintain applications.
  • Participate in requirement collection, user story creation, estimation, and planning.
  • Promote best practices in coding, CI/CD, testing, and agile methodologies.

Skills & Attributes for Success

  • Deep understanding of SAP BTP architecture and key BTP services.
  • Experience building applications on SAP BTP using CAP (Cloud Application Programming).
  • Strong hands-on development in Java, Node.js, and cloud-native application design.
  • Experience integrating cloud applications with on-premise systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SAPUI5 / Fiori, HTML5, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and agile development.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Foundry, SAP BAS, SAP BTP Cockpit.
  • Understanding of cloud IAM standards (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM).
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and team leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
  • Preferred: B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA with 70%+ aggregate from Tier-1 institutes (IIT/NIT).
  • 8+ years in core design & development; 2–3 years in cloud technologies.
  • Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud application development.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BTP and microservices architecture.
