Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP TM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in LE-TRA to SAP TM migration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing legacy transportation processes, designing migration strategies, and implementing SAP TM solutions to optimize transportation planning, execution, and freight settlement.
Core Expertise
- 6–8 years of overall SAP experience, with minimum 3+ years in SAP TM
- Hands-on experience in LE-TRA to SAP TM migration
- Strong understanding of transportation planning, execution, and freight settlement
- Experience working on SAP TM embedded or standalone deployments
Migration & Transformation Responsibilities
- Analyze existing LE-TRA configurations and transportation processes
- Design and execute migration strategies from LE-TRA to SAP TM
- Perform data mapping, data conversion, and validation
- Ensure seamless transition with minimal business disruption
Functional Design & Configuration
- Configure SAP TM components including: Freight Order Management ,Transportation Planning & Optimization, Carrier Selection ,Charge Management & Freight Settlement
- Integrate SAP TM with SAP ERP (SD, MM, FI) and other relevant systems
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements
Process Optimization
- Evaluate current transportation processes and recommend improvements using SAP TM capabilities
- Ensure alignment with global transportation regulations and business requirements
- Support continuous improvement and system optimization initiatives
Technical & Integration Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of SAP TM integration with SD, MM, and FI
- Good understanding of master data (locations, resources, transportation lanes)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded TM is an added advantage
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP TM Certification
- Experience in global rollouts and multi-country implementations
