Position Overview
As the Technical Architect for EDA Automation, you will lead large-scale initiatives to streamline the entire semiconductor design workflow—from schematic capture and simulation setup to verification, sign-off, packaging integration, and post-silicon correlation. This hands-on technical leadership role focuses on developing robust automation frameworks, improving tool interoperability, and enabling end-to-end design efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional design teams to enhance productivity and strengthen overall design enablement capability.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable EDA design workflows covering schematic capture, simulation automation (Virtuoso, Spectre/APS/SpectreRF, AMS Designer), and verification.
- Develop and automate physical verification flows including DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna, and PEX using Calibre, ICV, or Pegasus.
- Build and validate workflow automation for packaging interfaces and data handoff processes for seamless design lifecycle integration.
- Implement domain-specific layout checks, including: RF: Symmetry, shielding, path-length matching Analog: Device matching, ratio checks, guard ring rules, substrate tie rules
- Establish and maintain lab-to-simulation correlation pipelines for accurate post-silicon validation.
- Automate simulation analyses such as corners, Monte Carlo, noise, linearity, and coverage reporting.
- Integrate EM-aware parasitic extraction for GHz-class and precision analog designs using EMX, Momentum, HFSS, etc.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track design sign-off, verification progress, and KPIs.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in CAD/EDA development and support for analog, RF, and mixed-signal IC design.
- Expert-level knowledge of physical verification tools such as: Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX ,ICV / Pegasus
- Strong expertise in Virtuoso, SKILL, OpenAccess, and custom flow development.
- Proven experience owning and developing PDKs, verification runsets, and sign-off decks across multiple technology nodes.
- Solid background in EM simulation tools such as EMX, Momentum, HFSS with workflow integration experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, production-grade EDA automation frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
