Role Summary

The Senior Events Manager manages group and event business, maximizes revenue opportunities, ensures seamless coordination with clients and hotel departments, and delivers exceptional event experiences under the guidance of the Director of Events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell hotel products including rooms, meetings, catering, and banquets.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and develop regional / industry-based sales plans.
  • Handle client enquiries through calls, meetings, and site visits to convert business.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and negotiate event details, layouts, and pricing.
  • Maximize revenue while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments for smooth event execution.
  • Lead event communication including banquet event orders and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure on-site event support for organizers and guests during events.
  • Review billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate event data and key customer profiles in hotel systems.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, organizers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track market trends and contribute to forecasting room nights and banquet revenue.
  • Guide and support the Banquet Sales team to deliver high-quality service.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong background in hotel sales, events, or banquet operations.
  • Proven experience handling group and event business.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
