Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with hands-on experience in reactive frameworks like Vert.x, microservices development, and containerized deployments. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable integration solutions for high-performance, event-driven systems in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable reactive microservices using Vert.x or other reactive frameworks to handle real-time transaction events.
  • Build and maintain the integration layer between legacy switches (NDSSTEPS) and ARIC SaaS Event APIs.
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance data exchange across systems.
  • Deploy and manage containerized services on OpenShift or Kubernetes in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for operational visibility.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and creation of technical documentation.

Required Skills

  • Java (Strong core knowledge)
  • Reactive frameworks (Vert.x or similar)
  • Microservices development
  • Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration
  • Hibernate / JPA
  • RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and integration patterns
  • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

  • Container orchestration: OpenShift or Kubernetes

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial services applications (Nets or similar)
  • Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana
  • Logging frameworks: ELK Stack
  • Helm charts and advanced container orchestration
  • Strong problem-solving and independent work capability in fast-paced environments
