Senior Piping Designer

📍 Location: Kochi & Bangalore, India

💼 Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer with a strong background in cloud-based modeling and 3D CAD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in upstream/midstream oil & gas or similar industrial sectors, with expertise in piping layouts, point cloud modeling, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in piping design.
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, and piping isometrics.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and modeling from point cloud scans and integrating them with existing infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Required Skills & Expertise

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in AVEVA E3D, Navisworks, and point cloud software (e.g., Autodesk ReCap, CloudWorx).
  • Experience in developing detailed piping layouts and 3D piping models using laser scan or photogrammetry data.
  • Knowledge of material take-offs, compliance checks, and revision workflows.
  • Familiarity with ISOgen for generating piping isometrics.
  • Understanding of stress analysis and steam tracing design.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with cloud collaboration tools such as BIM 360 and Trimble Connect.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to project design standards.
