Senior Project Engineer – LabVIEW

Location: Bengaluru / Coimbatore

Summary

The Senior Project Engineer – LabVIEW will leverage deep LabVIEW expertise to lead and execute technical projects with high quality and on-time delivery. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving complex technical challenges, engaging with clients, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives through retrospectives and feedback.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering LabVIEW-based solutions within an Agile environment. The engineer will break down requirements, provide estimations, identify risks, and create robust technical solutions. Responsibilities include coding, UI design, debugging, conducting reviews, documentation, client interaction, and ensuring product excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Agile team to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Analyze requirements and provide estimates, work breakdown structures, and project plans.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical risks and issues.
  • Develop detailed technical designs, prototypes, and innovative solution approaches.
  • Participate in design, code, and usability reviews ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Deliver demo sessions to clients and provide thorough project documentation.
  • Present project progress, status reports, and key insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with management and cross-functional teams during project discussions.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Graduate with 3–5 years of proven hands-on LabVIEW development experience.
  • Strong understanding of LabVIEW State Machines, Design Patterns, and LVOOP.
  • Familiarity with Test & Measurement systems and NI PXI-based instrumentation.
  • Experience with configuration management and version control tools: SVN, Perforce, Git.
  • Experience with TestStand, Python, or NI LabVIEW Certifications (CLD/CLA preferred).

Good to Have

  • Experience working with databases.
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware integration.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Experience using Node.js in large-scale projects.
