About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Java Full Stack Developer) to join their high-performing development team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a large-scale application ecosystem built on Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture. This position primarily focuses on backend development while offering opportunities to contribute across the entire stack — including API design, database optimization, and UI workflow enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and development teams to enhance and maintain enterprise applications.
- Design, expose, and consume APIs for internal and third-party integrations.
- Modify database schemas and data access patterns using Hibernate.
- Contribute to UI workflows and front-end improvements when required.
- Assist in reporting and analytics development.
- Implement DevOps improvements for CI/CD, testing, and reliability.
- Develop reusable components and application code to meet business goals.
- Participate in peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the stack.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in full-stack Java development.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Hibernate (ORM)
- Microservices architecture
- Maven for build automation
- ACID-compliant databases (SQL, schema design, and query optimization)
- Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG)
- Frontend technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Working knowledge of Linux environments (basic configuration, service management, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in Insurance or Finance domains.
- Knowledge of Spring Webflow and Wildfly Application Server.
- Familiarity with Infinispan for distributed caching.
- Exposure to Python scripting for automation or data transformation.
