Specialist – Autosys Administration

Job Summary

This role involves establishing and implementing standards, processes, and governance around Autosys administration and scheduling. The candidate will design, implement, and support a large-scale Autosys environment across heterogeneous platforms, ensuring high availability and operational excellence in workload automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Autosys r11.3.x and r12.x environments.
  • Manage batch workload in Production Control and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Work within change management and incident management frameworks.
  • Create, modify, and maintain jobs using Autosys job forms and JIL utilities.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure optimal scheduler usage.
  • Diagnose and resolve Autosys job failures; perform root cause analysis.
  • Set up jobs in Development, Model, and Production environments.
  • Create and maintain monitoring frameworks using Autosys tools (JAWS, iDash).
  • Engage with vendor support teams for troubleshooting and issue resolutions.
  • Analyze system production issues and implement appropriate Autosys utilities.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on Autosys Administration (r11.3.x & r12.x)
  • Strong expertise in scheduling, system automation, job management, and cross-platform support
  • Deep understanding of HA/FT Autosys architecture and customization
  • Proven experience in DR configuration, environment recovery, and system upgrades

  • RedHat Linux Administration
