Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Team Member – Instrumentation & Automation to support instrumentation maintenance, calibration activities, and automation systems across critical production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting plant instrumentation, supporting PLC/SCADA systems, executing calibration activities, and contributing to automation projects from design to commissioning. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep technical understanding, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a cGMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation including mass flow meters, level/temperature transmitters, turbidity, pH, conductivity, pressure, and humidity sensors.
- Maintain automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and control software to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Provide support for process control engineering in unit operations such as bioreactors, chromatography, mixed bed, SSMB, polish bed, multiple-effect evaporators, and spray dryers.
- Execute CIP and COP system activities as per defined procedures.
- Collaborate with QMS on change controls, nonconformance, CAPA, and validation practices.
- Perform equipment calibrations following approved processes and schedules.
- Participate in project management including design review, instrument selection, installation, and commissioning.
Critical Success Factors:
- Knowledge of ASTM 2500, S88, and S95 standards with strong batch processing experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot Ethernet networking and communication issues.
Essential Attributes:
- Proficiency in PID loop tuning and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Understanding of compliance standards such as USFDA, 21 CFR, and GAMP.
Desired Attributes:
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience with Siemens PCS 7 platform.
