Are you looking to set up your Avaya J179 IP Phone but not sure where to start? Don't worry, we've got you covered!
First, unpack your phone and plug in the power adapter. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the phone and the other end to your network switch.
Next, power on the phone and wait for it to boot up. Once it's ready, navigate through the menu using the arrow keys and select "Settings". From there, choose "Network Settings" and enter your IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS information.
To configure your SIP settings, go back to the main menu and select "SIP Configuration". Enter your SIP server details provided by your VoIP service provider. Save your settings and restart the phone.
Lastly, test your connection by making a test call. If everything is working properly, you're all set!
