Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments on a regular basis.
Maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff, ensuring smooth operations.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

Certifications (Preferred/Additional)

Industry-recognized network and security certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Aruba, Fortinet).

Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, CheckPoint, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.).
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMK, SolarWinds, PRTG).
Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, etc.) and wireless networking & security.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments.
Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Firm understanding of industry cabling standards and methods.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly.
