About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Academic Counsellor to join our client’s growing EdTech team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in student counseling, educational sales, or institutional partnerships, with a passion for guiding learners toward the right academic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel students and working professionals on suitable courses and academic pathways.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleges and schools to generate leads and partnerships.
  • Manage the entire sales and enrollment process, from inquiry to closing.
  • Understand and communicate program details, eligibility, and outcomes clearly to prospective students.
  • Follow up on leads via phone, email, and in-person meetings to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Handle objections effectively and ensure high conversion rates.
  • Update and maintain accurate lead information using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align on campaigns and student experience.
  • Stay informed about higher education trends and new program offerings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; Education or Psychology preferred).
  • 2–10 years of experience in counseling, sales, or EdTech.
  • Prior EdTech experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong network or connections with colleges and schools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Proven track record in sales target achievement.
  • Strong customer orientation, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems for lead management and reporting.
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and resilient under pressure.
  • Team player with adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.
