Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and PHP to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS (Node.js) and Laravel, CodeIgniter (PHP). You will be responsible for developing robust, scalable server-side applications, APIs, and system components for enterprise-grade web solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js and PHP.
Build server-side logic using Node.js frameworks (Express.js, NestJS).
Design and maintain backend applications using PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).
Develop scalable RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems.
Write clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code following best practices.
Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Technical Expertise

Backend Technologies:

Strong experience in Node.js (Express.js, NestJS)
Proficiency in Core PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter

Additional Skills:

Solid understanding of RESTful API design, MVC architecture, and backend security best practices.
Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
Familiarity with Linux-based environments for server-side deployment.
Proficient in Git and version control workflows.
Understanding of authentication mechanisms, session management, and data validation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 9 years of professional backend development experience.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
