Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with expertise in SQL to join our dynamic team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing large datasets, extracting meaningful insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL querying, data manipulation, and statistical analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Querying and analyzing large datasets using SQL to extract insights and identify trends.
- Developing and maintaining SQL scripts and queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Cleaning, transforming, and preparing data for analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Performing statistical analysis and applying data mining techniques to uncover patterns and correlations.
- Creating data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with business units to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis and troubleshooting data-related issues as needed.
- Participating in data modeling and schema design to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Contributing to data governance and quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity.
- Staying up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis and SQL development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a focus on SQL querying and data manipulation.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
