The Windows Administrator collaborates with other IT professionals to design and implement solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Windows server operating systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory.
    • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing optimizations as necessary.
    • Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability.
  2. Infrastructure Management:
    • Deploy and maintain Windows-based infrastructure components, such as file servers, print servers, and domain controllers.
    • Configure and manage virtualization platforms, such as Hyper-V or VMware, for server consolidation and resource optimization.
    • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and services.
  3. Security Management:
    • Enforce security best practices and policies to protect Windows systems from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.
    • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, addressing any identified risks promptly.
    • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, such as antivirus software and intrusion detection systems.
  4. Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users experiencing Windows-related issues.

  • Proficiency in administering Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows server services.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V, VMware, or Citrix.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
