About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Databricks Developer to join their growing analytics and data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, hands-on expertise with Databricks, and practical experience across databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions and ETL pipelines in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks to integrate data from various structured and unstructured sources.
  • Work with multiple databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Implement robust data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes to ensure high data quality and integrity.
  • Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Glue and Redshift for data processing, storage, and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
  • Participate in Agile and DevOps practices using tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize solutions for better performance and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–6 years of experience in data engineering and development.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data transformation.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Exposure to AWS Glue, Redshift, and other AWS cloud services (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
