Role Overview

We are seeking a Power BI Developer / Specialist to join Deloitte Support Services India Pvt. Ltd. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI and SQL database integration, with the ability to deliver insightful dashboards and support cross-functional teams in achieving project goals. This role combines technical mastery, analytical thinking, and collaboration to drive data visualization excellence across business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Developer:

  • Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards, reports, KPIs, and scorecards.
  • Integrate SQL databases, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and other data sources into Power BI.
  • Create and maintain tabular and multidimensional models aligned with data warehouse standards.
  • Develop advanced-level DAX calculations and perform data transformations for business intelligence.
  • Enhance and optimize existing Power BI dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into visual and analytical solutions.
  • Support end-to-end dashboard deployment and troubleshooting.

As an Administrator:

  • Configure and manage Power BI Gateways and Virtual Network Data Gateways for data source connectivity.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, migrations, and general administration of the Power BI platform.
  • Implement and maintain automation frameworks for dashboard deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Follow industry best practices for performance tuning and time-to-market improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, availability, and security standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and administration.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and SQL (ANSI-SQL).
  • Experience with data ingestion from multiple sources such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and ODBC-based systems.
  • Familiarity with HANA or other relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage clients and internal teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Azure platform and cloud-based data integration.
  • Familiarity with Figma and UX copywriting for enhanced dashboard storytelling.
  • Certification in any data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
