Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead data analysis efforts within the Sales Operations team. This role requires an experienced analyst with strong Power BI expertise, database knowledge, and a proven track record of delivering actionable business insights. Experience in sales, finance, or sales compensation data is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be skilled at analyzing complex datasets, creating intuitive dashboards, and presenting insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets using Power BI and other analytical tools to uncover actionable insights.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into databases while ensuring data integrity.
- Lead and manage complex data projects to support strategic business goals.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards and reports to track KPIs and support decision-making.
- Create visualizations that simplify complex information and enhance executive understanding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and deliver insightful solutions.
- Present key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within data sets and recommend actionable strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance by implementing best practices.
- Mentor and guide team members on data analysis, visualization, and reporting techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Power BI skills (reporting, dashboards, data modeling)
- Experience with SQL and database management
- Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, etc.) a plus
- Data warehousing and ETL knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data to non-technical stakeholders
- Process improvement and documentation experience
- Experience with sales, finance, or sales compensation data is highly desirable
- Leadership capability and ability to mentor junior analysts
- Self-motivated, curious, and positive team player
