About the Role

The client uses WSO2 as its Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform for authentication and authorization across multiple environments — production, staging, non-production, and DR. The role requires end-to-end operational support and proactive management of WSO2 services to ensure high availability, security, and compliance of the identity infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

A. Operations Support

  • Provide 24×7 operational support for WSO2-related incidents, service requests, and problems.
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WSO2 services across environments.
  • Handle incident response, escalation, and root cause analysis for major issues.
  • Manage configuration, upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation for WSO2 and its plugins.
  • Maintain accurate CMDB entries and ensure regular backups and DR drills.
  • Support integrations with enterprise systems — SSO, federation, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases.

B. Security & Compliance

  • Conduct regular vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation.
  • Provide logs, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Enforce access management controls and least privilege principles.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and client’s information security policies.

C. Service Levels & Reporting

  • Meet or exceed SLA targets for incident response, resolution, and service uptime.
  • Generate and present reports on incidents, changes, compliance, and capacity.
  • Participate in governance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

D. Knowledge Management

  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams.

Key Expectations

  • Proactive monitoring using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Automation of recurring operational tasks (patching, provisioning, reporting).
  • Continuous improvement and innovation in operations.
  • Close collaboration with IT, security, and vendor teams.
  • Ensure all actions are auditable and compliant with regulatory standards.

Environment & Tools

The WSO2 IAM system operates in a complex environment alongside other enterprise security tools such as:

  • CyberArk, Saviynt, Azure AD, Firewalls, and Network Security Infrastructure
  • The MSP is responsible for ensuring smooth interoperability across all these systems.

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

  • NAC – Cisco ISE
  • NAC – ForeScout
  • NAC – HP Aruba
  • Network Security (Next-Generation Firewalls, NAC, Zero Trust, Segmentation, APT, IPS/IDS)

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on WSO2 administration experience (Identity Server, API Manager, or EI).
  • Familiarity with automation tools and cloud/on-prem IAM integrations.
